Background and Experience

Will Sutton is the principal of The Sutton Law Firm. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Sutton worked for several other law firms, small and large, has handled hundreds of cases as lead trial counsel, has tried cases in several Texas counties and maintains a statewide practice. Mr. Sutton’s greatest passion is representing individuals and families who have suffered financial harm or injury and need someone they can trust to make things right. As this often requires battling insurance companies with vast resources, Mr. Sutton enjoys representing the “underdog.”

Understanding Both Sides

Mr. Sutton has handled both plaintiff and defense cases, giving him valuable experience and insight into how “the other side” will handle and approach lawsuits in numerous practice areas, including prior experience handling cases from some of the largest insurance companies in the United States. Mr. Sutton has also represented individuals and families in their legal battles against people and companies of all types, primarily in personal injury or employment claims and the variations within those fields.

Personal History

Born and raised in Conroe, Texas, Mr. Sutton attended The Woodlands High School, and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with a major in government and minor in business administration. After graduation, Mr. Sutton attended law school at The University of Houston Law Center, graduating in 2005, where he won back-to-back negotiation competition titles, in 2003-2004 and 2004-2005, from the Student Division of the American Bar Association. Mr. Sutton was admitted to the National Chapter of the Order of the Barristers, an organization that recognizes individuals who have excelled in preparation and presentation of oral advocacy.

Mr. Sutton enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends, traveling, golfing, and watching college football.
